Dr. Yavuz Bekmezci completed his medical education at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine. He received his specialty training at Istanbul Bilim University Florence Nightingale Hospital Neurology Department between 2006-2012. In addition, he received training on Demyelinating Diseases, Neuromuscular Diseases and Movement Disorders at Istanbul University Çapa Faculty of Medicine in 2008 and in 2009, he also worked in the Electrophysiology Department of the same faculty. During his career, he has worked in various hospitals starting from Karabük Yenice Yortanpazarı Health Center (2001-2006). These hospitals include Şişli Memorial Hospital Stroke Rehabilitation Unit (2012-2014), Bahçelievler Hizmet Hospital Acute Stroke Unit (2012-2014), Kastamonu Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital (2014-2015), Acıbadem Taksim Hospital (2015-2019) and Acıbadem Atakent Hospital (2019-2023). Currently, he is working at Istinye University Bahçeşehir Liv Hospital, Department of Neurology. His medical interests include stroke, electrophysiology, headache syndromes, dizziness outpatient clinic and sleep disorders. His specialty thesis is on "Evaluation of Treatment and Care Performance and Quality Data of Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients in Stroke Unit". His research and publications include various case presentations in the field of neurology and studies presented at national congresses. He is currently working as a senior neurologist at Istinye University Liv Hospital Stroke Center (ISUIM) in the field of vascular neurology and interventional neurology and continues his studies at Neur-on Clinic.
