EARLY INTENSIVE STROKE REHABILITATION

"Intensive Neurological Rehabilitation allows you to reach your full potential faster."

We know that the more you repeat or practice a movement, the larger the area of the brain dedicated to that movement becomes...

Practice is the most important path to perfection!

What is Intensive Neurological Rehabilitation?

The ability of the brain and nervous system to learn and remodel is called 'neuroplasticity'. For relearning to take place, movements need to be repeated and practiced, just as you would expect when learning to play a musical instrument or a new sport. This remodeling of the brain and the creation of new connections takes place throughout life. After injury or illness in the nervous system, there is a window of opportunity when the brain rapidly reorganizes itself to compensate for the damaged areas. It is generally believed that this happens around the first 2 years, after which time the brain continues to build new connections, but at a slower pace.

Why is Intensive Neurological Rehabilitation Important?

The goal of rehabilitation after stroke is to promote the reorganization of the nervous system (neuroplasticity) to relearn lost or damaged movements. The role of neurological physiotherapy aims to help individuals relearn lost or impaired movements. However, the key to adopting newly learned movements is practice.

It is therefore crucial that individuals have the opportunity to repeat and practice movement to reinforce new connections. This is difficult to achieve with traditional physiotherapy and exercise alone! Rehabilitation technologies that have developed over the last decade have increasingly provided tools for the mass application and repetition of movements. Neur-On Clinic was created to offer you true high repetition rehabilitation, which is essential for improved outcomes and faster recovery thanks to its high-tech platform.
